Orge Exception Line 628 (Steam must be running to play!!!)

I just paid my $10 and when I updated it, it keeps giving me this error:

ORGE EXCEPTION(5:ItemIdentifyException): Steam must be running to play this game!!! in Zombie Driver at .\ZombieDriver.cpp (line 628)

I don't know what is happining but im really pissed about it. Thx in advance.

Where did you buy your game? Our website, Gamersgate, Steam or some other place? Did it work before you have updated it?

It was working before the patch, and i bought it from steam, then i updated it and it started to get that bug... (thx for replying lol)

You can do few things:
- reinstall the game
- verify integrity of game cache (press right mouse button on Zombie Driver in yoyr "My games" tab on Steam, select properties and then local files)

Are you sure that your Steam is really running? How do you launch the game? Do you click on it in your "My games" tab in Steam or do you try to launch it straight from the Zombie Driver directory?

i got almost the same msg but i trying to run with Debug.exe

You have to click on it with the right mouse button and choose "start as an administrator" or something similar.
